General Information
Times
Registration opens at 7:00 AM and will remain open until noon. If you are planning to ride the metric century, please allow time to collect your rider packet, which includes your bib number, meal tickets, and T-shirt.
The first group to begin will be the metric century riders, and the course opens with a mass start at 8:00 A.M. Sag support and operational rest stops will not be available until after 8:00 a.m. All participants of this ride will be expected to be on the course by 9:00 am at the latest.
The 30 mile ride begins with a mass start at 10:00 am, and the 10 mile riders begins with a mass start at 11:00 am. The course itself will close at 3:00 pm, and a number of support vehicles will patrol the route to help clear riders.
Deciding on a Route
The ride offers three route options, each varying in length and difficulty. We suggest new cyclists take on the 10 mile ride, the average biker try the 30 mile challenge, and only those who are seasoned riders attempt the metric century.
Each course follows the same path, only differing at the very end - this allows a rider to choose
an easier course if desired. For example if you chose to try the 62 mile course, you could still
decide around mile 30 if the longer course was too much and instead follow the 30 mile route instead.
Assistance on the Ride
SAG (Support And Gear) vehicles will be on the course during the entire ride. The purpose of SAG trucks is to assist any riders in need. They will get both you and your bike to the next rest stop, where mechanical and medical support will be available. SAG vehicles will also 'sweep the course' at 3 pm, to be sure everyone has returned to the Start/Finish Line.
Limited mechanical assistance will be provided by Wildside Adventure Sports of Baraboo.
Limited medical assistance will be provided by an ERS technician and various medical staff.

Route Options
10 Mile - "The Wellness"
[View Map]This route is designed to be family friendly. It is a short course which starts from the UW Baraboo Campus and continues to the first rest stop at the Ho-Chunk House of Wellness and then back to the Campus. The course itself is relatively flat with only a few small hills along the way. We encourage any new riders and families with young children to sign up for this route.
30 Mile - "The Challenger"
[View Map]This route is designed to be a very scenic ride for cyclists of average ability who are looking for a challenge. The route departs from the UW Baraboo Campus and continues past the first rest stop at the Ho-Chunk House of Wellness. It then continues past the International Crane Foundation, and down Rustic Road 49 to the Aldo Leopold Legacy Center. From there the route continues to Man Mound Park for the last rest stop before the finish at the UW Baraboo Campus. The Challenger offers three rest stops along the way, a number of small hills and 3 short hills of substantial grade.
62 Mile - "The Barbaric Bluffs"
[View Map]The metric century was designed for seasoned cyclists. The first 30 miles of this route are fairly easy as it follows the other routes. However after Man Mound Park we pick up the pace as we enter into the bluffs. The last 30 miles of this route are designed to be very challenging, offering three large climbs, the longest just over 5 miles and roughly 1000 feet of elevation gain. If you like a challenge this is the ride for you. Along this route you will pass by the International Crane Foundation, the Aldo Leopold Legacy Center, Man Mound Park, Parfreys Glen, Devil's Lake State Park, the Baraboo River, and Circus World Museum. There are six rest stops along this route. Only those up for a serious challenge should try this route, as it consists of a total of 3783 feet of elevation gain!
